The Annandale Troll

Advertising disclosure

Payment buys the write-up, never a place on the list.

What can be paid for

Some checked tradies pay for a longer editorial profile and Premium position above Standard listings in their category. A Premium listing may show one real portrait. Standard listings and reader recommendations are text-only.

What cannot be bought

Money cannot put a tradie on the checked list, change a verification result, remove an honest caveat, buy a review or influence a reader recommendation. Newsletter advertising also earns no favour here.

Who controls the words

The Troll writes every listing. A tradie can correct objective facts such as a phone number, suburb or licence class, but does not approve the editorial fit note. Reviews are checked outside the website and are not shown to the trade before publication.

Order

Premium listings appear first. Standard listings follow in the order they joined. The number of Premium listings is maintained per category in the CMS; the website does not impose a hidden hard-coded cap.
